Art and Act: Weaving of Aso-òkè with Sufian Adekunle, Tiamiyu Mojeed, and Tijani Abdulrasheed

The art and act of Aso-òkè weaving on the streets of Okeho is a tradition that began decades ago. Among those who keep it alive are Sufian Adekunle, Tiamiyu Mojeed, and Tijani Abdulrasheed, who started learning the craft as children. Over the years, weaving became their source of income, especially when they were unable to secure formal employment.

Let the future remember that these ones still uphold the culture of the Yoruba through the art and act of Aso-òkè weaving.
